Could this possibly be useful o architects? I'm an architect and I was always fascinated about how concept artists would create such convincing worlds from scratch. However despite having achieved a certain level in drawing I don't have the experience and skill of a concept artist.
ReplyDeleteI would say yes. I have a personal interest in architecture myself, but never had the patience for the math, haha. We will be designing some organic things, but you can approach the assignments however you are most comfortable. I hope you will join us!
ReplyDeleteI would like to ask what hours the lectures would be. I am very interested in participating, but I'm still a student and have classes to attend. So I have to be sure I would be able to be present on your lectures. Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteThe video lectures are pre-recorded and you will receive an e-mail at the beginning of the week with a link to a pass-word protected video that you can watch on your own schedule. The assignments should be done during that week if possible, but again it is up to you how and when to follow along. There will also be daily emails and other bonus content videos. The only "live" events are the individual one-on-one crits which we will schedule ahead of time.
ReplyDeletehi this sounds cool, im an architect and i want to learn some technics about this topic, the 6 weeks sound awesome, how much does it cost? what is the time for the class?

ReplyDeleteCarlos - sorry no region-specific discounts, but if you sign up before Sept. 24th, the price is $300, versus $350. You will definitely get value for you money though! Hope to see you in the class! Thanks for your interest!
ReplyDeleteWhen exactly this online course begins?
ReplyDeleteAime - October 7th!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fantastic Seminar so decided to make the purchase this morning. Do I have to register for an account somewhere? How does it work?
DeleteBuilding worlds has always been present in my head.I'm looking forward for this seminar to help me to draw all the ideas and visions, as well as how to structure them.
I hope I will be able to manage my schedule to do the assignments and share with the community.
Best regards.
Great!! Welcome to the class. You will be receiving e-mails in the next couple of weeks that will tell you how the class will work and what you will need to sign up for, etc. Talk to you soon!

ReplyDeleteI will review whatever you want to show me, but the aim is to show me what your current portfolio looks like, which may include stuff from the course, but may also include stuff from previously. It's up to you!
DeleteSorry I deleted - but thank you for responding!
DeleteI was getting a little anxious so I just went ahead with the regular purchase.
Looking forward to the course.
Thanks Sean!
Hi there, Just want to know what the art prerequisites? I am slowly learning to draw better but I have not reached a level where I would be comfortable to enroll in an advanced art course. I am simply open to learn as much as possible. What would be the most relevant to me is world building as I am much more of a writer.
ReplyDeleteOliver - it is an ART-focused world-building course, but that is not to say that the things i will be teaching wouldn't help writers, it very well might! Drawing skills can be any level and it's more about what you want to get out of it. I will be teaching techniques for drawing, painting, etc, but my main focus is on how to find ideas and then manifest those ideas visually. It's up to you, you may find it to be very useful!
DeleteThank you, I will give it some thought and decide before the end of the day.
DeleteLooking forward to the next course. Awesome and thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteIs it a problem if you don't work digitally?
